Vice President of Operations

Location: Georgia, USA

The Vice President of Operations will play a key role in our client's long-term growth strategy. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, focusing on ensuring a smooth international supply chain and seamless delivery of products & services. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic leadership skills, deep specialist experience in manufacturing & supply chain, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management; Oversee the entire supply chain & assess supplier performance to ensure sourcing and delivery are both timely and cost-effective.
  • Strategic Planning; Develop and execute long-term strategic plans focused on improving operational efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Operational Efficiency; Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity throughout the operations.
  • Quality Assurance; Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards to ensure that all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and industry regulations.
  • Team Leadership; Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation to drive performance and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Financial Management; Manage operational budgets and resources effectively, monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
  • Risk Management; Identify potential risks and challenges within the operations and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement; Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and finance, to align operational activities with business priorities and customer needs.
  • Compliance and Ethics; Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as uphold the company's ethical standards and corporate values in all operational activities

Essential Skills

  • Financial Acumen: Ability to read and interpret complex financial reports.
  • Communication: Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Data Analytics: Ability to synthesize complex data for strategic decision-making.
  • Critical Thinking: Solve complex operational challenges, leading cross-functional teams & driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Leadership: Develop and communicate a clear vision for operational excellence, overseeing Directors, Managers and Supervisors in Safety, Quality and Supply Chain.
  • Culture Building: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, engineering, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in senior operations or business leadership in manufacturing.
    • Experience with high SKU, low volume manufacturing and sourcing.
    • Knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, and casting supply.
    • Experience managing multiple teams and warehouse operations.
    • Familiarity with industrial OEM products and international supply chains.
    • Proficient in ERP systems, supply chain software, and data analytics tools.
