Our client are a leading innovator and manufacturer of advanced energy storage systems, designing cutting edge rechargeable batteries, packs, smart chargers and power supplies for numerous different industries.

They operate on a global scale, with facilities located across USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Cambodia and China. This global presence allows them to serve customers worldwide, efficiently and with a tailored approach.

This company is looking for a Vice President of Engineering to lead their technical teams and drive innovation in battery tech.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge rechargeable batteries, battery packs, smart chargers, and power supplies for portable and stationary applications
  • Oversee engineering teams across their global manufacturing facilities, ensuring consistent quality and performance standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives and market demands
  • Spearhead research and development initiatives focused on improving energy density, safety, weight reduction, and lifespan of their products
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers, research institutions, and industry leaders

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a strong background in battery technology, PCBA, BMS and MS (Mechanical Systems)
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and commercializing innovative battery products
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and mentor engineering teams
  • You are driven, hard working and passionate about the cleantech industry!
