About the Role:
My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Sales Manager to drive commercial success and provide technical expertise across all species, including monogastric, ruminant, pet, and aqua. This role requires a balance of sales acumen and scientific knowledge to support customers with tailored solutions in animal nutrition.
The successful candidate will travel extensively across the US, engaging with key stakeholders such as feed manufacturers, integrators, distributors, and nutritionists, delivering both technical and commercial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth across all animal species.
- Provide technical support to customers, distributors, and internal teams, ensuring the correct application of animal nutrition products.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing clients.
- Conduct product training, presentations, and technical workshops for customers and sales teams.
- Work closely with R&D, marketing, and regulatory teams to align product offerings with market demands.
- Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Provide regular market feedback and sales reports to senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
- 5-15 years of experience in technical sales within the animal nutrition sector.
- Strong knowledge of monogastric, ruminant, pet, and aqua nutrition.
- Proven track record of developing and managing customer relationships.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the US (50-70%).
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
