The Role

We're looking for a Technical Sales Manager to drive business growth by combining hands-on technical expertise with strong customer relationship skills. This role is ideal for someone with a background in conveyor belt installation who is now looking to leverage their industry knowledge in a commercial capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with mining operators, OEMs, and contractors.

• Provide technical guidance on conveyor belt selection, installation, and maintenance to customers.

• Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and offer tailored solutions.

• Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share.

• Deliver product demonstrations and training to clients and internal teams.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.

About You

• Technical expertise - Hands-on experience installing and maintaining conveyor belts, ideally within the mining sector.

• Sales acumen - A track record in technical sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.

• Industry knowledge - Strong understanding of mining operations and material handling systems.

• Communication skills - Ability to engage and build trust with clients at all levels.

• Problem-solving mindset - Able to diagnose issues and provide practical, value-driven solutions.

• Flexibility to travel - Comfortable with regular site visits across Australia.
