Job Overview:

The Technical Program Manager will oversee major technical programs in data center construction (colocation and hyperscale builds). The role combines project management, communication, and coordination across internal teams and external partners. You'll manage programs from start to finish, driving innovation and efficiencies in a highly collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Management:

    • Oversee technical programs from inception to completion, including planning, approvals, and execution.
    • Coordinate internal teams (sales, procurement, engineering) and external partners (architects, consultants).
    • Track design status, cost models, risks, and overall progress.
    • Assist leadership with innovative solutions for program tracking and project optimization.
  2. Technical Support:

    • Support cost modeling for market entry and new construction projects.
    • Review architectural and construction plans, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
    • Provide technical input during the RFP process and sales initiatives.
  3. Collaboration and Oversight:

    • Work closely with procurement, finance, and delivery teams to optimize schedules and costs.
    • Ensure site safety, compliance, and project efficiency during construction.
    • Assist with administrative tasks, budgets, and cost tracking using internal systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of design or project management experience in data centers (preferred).
    • Familiarity with construction cost estimation, scopes of work, and interpreting designs.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, BIM 360).
    • Advanced Excel; AutoCAD familiarity is a plus.
  • Other Skills:
    • Strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
    • Ability to problem-solve, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate effectively.
  • Travel: Up to 25% travel may be required.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional time on construction sites.
  • Some physical demands (walking, bending, climbing) and work near mechanical parts.
