About the Company:

Our client is a global leader in mineral processing, with over 170 assets around the world. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee the construction of a new plant in Bathurst, NSW.
This project is anticipated to last between 18 to 24 months.

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage and instruct construction site workers, setting schedules and monitoring performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Identify and manage potential safety hazards promptly.
  • Address site issues and delays in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
  • Collaborate with the project manager and engineers to align activities with the project plan.
  • Verify that work techniques are safe and effective.
  • Manage orders and deliveries of building materials.
  • Complete site reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Attend construction site management meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture aligned with core values.
  • Take immediate action to control and report Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality risks.
  • Participate in cross-functional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Building and Construction.
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction site supervision.
  • Knowledge of building and construction methods.
  • Familiarity with construction regulations and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.
  • Experience in quality control.
  • Current Construction White Card.
  • First Aid & CPR certificates.
  • Valid Australian driver's license.
