You'll take the lead in ensuring the health and safety of our team while maintaining a culture of excellence. Your expertise in safety management and compliance will be key in protecting our people and operations, ensuring that we meet and exceed industry and regulatory standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Safety Initiatives: Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Train and Educate: Provide safety training for employees at all levels, ensuring everyone understands proper procedures and works safely.
  • Conduct Audits and Inspections: Regularly inspect the facility to identify and address hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other applicable standards.
  • Investigate Incidents: Lead investigations into safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor Compliance: Track and report on safety metrics, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping for regulatory audits and internal reviews.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with operations, production, and quality assurance teams to integrate safety into all aspects of the business.
  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of evolving safety regulations and practices, making recommendations to continuously improve the safety program.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience: 5+ years in a safety management role, preferably in a food manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA standards, food safety regulations, and safety management systems.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field. Certifications like CSP, CIH, or OSHA 30 are a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to identify risks and develop proactive solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership: A proactive, hands-on approach to drive safety initiatives and inspire a culture of responsibility and care.
