Site Accountant

CSG Talent is currently carrying out a search on behalf of a food manufacturing business located in Liege, that is looking to appoint a Site Accountant, which is a brand-new role.

This role will not only involve the fast-paced day-to-day financial accounting, but also the strategic aspects of management accounting and systems implementation. This role will be second in command to the Site General Manager so you will have the opportunity to be involved in everything across the site and certainly be able to make a huge impact in this company.

You will be the site accountant for a relatively small site, however what this does mean is that you will have a varied role with lots of scope and a seat at the top table. This business is also part of a much larger European food group, so again, great opportunities for progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the Site General Manager with a dotted line into the Group Financial Controller, you will be the most senior accountant on site and responsible for the following:
• Preparation of weekly and monthly management account packages
• Preparation of weekly KPI's (Commercial and Production)
• Stock control and overhead reviews
• Involvement in special projects with management leading to improved efficiencies.

Requirements:

• Ideally you will have gained experience from a fast paced, manufacturing background
• Bilingual English and French
• Part qualified or qualified accountant
• Agile and able to work at pace
• Strong communication skills as you will be liaising with both financial and non-financial staff
• Have a flexible approach, an ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a dynamic admin/finance team
• Have strong analytical, IT and Microsoft Excel skills
• You will be someone that is eager to learn and progress your career

Salary Package

In the region of €55,000 - €65,000 base salary
