Are you an experienced underground mining geologist looking to join a well-established and technically driven gold operation? We're partnering with a leading underground mine in regional Victoria that's undergoing an exciting phase of resource growth and operational development.

This site has a long history of continuous gold production and is backed by strong investment in geological modelling, grade control, and sustainable mining practices. You'll join a high-performing technical services team and take a lead role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of production geology.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate underground geological activities, including face mapping, sampling, and ore control.

• Oversee daily grade control functions and contribute to reconciliation and reporting.

• Assist with resource definition and near-mine exploration drilling programs.

• Maintain and update 3D geological models using software such as Leapfrog and Deswik.

• Liaise closely with mine planning, survey, and production teams to optimise ore extraction.

• Champion health, safety, and environmental standards within underground operations.

• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to ongoing team development.

✅ About You

• Degree-qualified in Geology or Earth Sciences.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an underground hard rock mining environment, ideally gold.

• Proficient in geological modelling software (Leapfrog, Deswik, or similar).

• Demonstrated experience in grade control, reconciliation, and geological interpretation.

• Strong communicator with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

• Eligible to work in Australia and available for site-based work on a residential or FIFO roster.
