Senior Remediation Engineer

Location: USA (remote)

CSG has partners with a national engineering and environmental consulting firm, to assist in the search for a Senior Remediation Engineer. Our client prides itself on a culture that fosters collaboration and creativity to solve complex challenges. They are looking to bring onboard a passionate Environmental Remediation Engineer to join their team.

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic group of professionals working on diverse environmental projects. You will have the opportunity to travel to job sites, conduct site and subsurface monitoring, and oversee remediation system operations and maintenance. This is a full-time position with options for both office-based and remote work depending on the candidate's fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize mechanical and process components of environmental remediation systems, such as groundwater extraction and treatment, soil vapor extraction, and air sparging.
  • Develop detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, and material estimates for the implementation of remediation systems.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and system optimization for a variety of remediation technologies including water treatment and vapor recovery systems.
  • Perform on-site system monitoring and data collection to evaluate system performance and implement improvements.
  • Lead troubleshooting, testing, and upgrades of existing remediation systems to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support project teams by developing technical scopes of work, and cost estimates, and contributing to proposal development.
  • Ensure all remediation activities and systems comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering (Master's degree welcomed).
  • 5-10 years of experience specifically focused on environmental remediation systems design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Professional Engineering registration in a core discipline or ability to obtain within a year.
  • Proven experience with remediation technologies, including water pumping and treatment systems, soil vapor extraction, and construction dewatering.
  • In-depth knowledge of remediation system lifecycle-from feasibility studies and conceptual design through to detailed design, implementation, and system optimization.
  • Proficiency in technical software, such as AutoCAD, for developing detailed remediation system designs.
  • Ability to travel for fieldwork, system installations, and client meetings across the U.S.
