Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: The Senior Metallurgist will lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of laboratory and pilot plant research activities, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Client Engagement: The individual will develop a deep understanding of client needs, ensuring project goals and expectations are met while maintaining strong communication throughout the process.
  • Proposal Preparation: The role involves creating detailed technical and financial proposals, including cost estimates, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: The Senior Metallurgist will manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial control.
  • Team Leadership: The individual will coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in alignment with project objectives.
  • Reporting & Risk Management: The role includes preparing technical reports, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Pilot Plant Oversight: The Senior Metallurgist will supervise equipment setup, manage pilot plant operations, and ensure effective execution of related projects.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in metallurgy, materials science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in metallurgy or minerals-related fields.
  • Proven project management and leadership skills, with a track record of managing complex projects.
  • Experience handling financial responsibilities, including budgeting and invoicing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in business software and computer applications.
