Senior Mechanical Engineer

CSG Talent are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a leading Aggregate + Cement Producer Company in the US Construction Materials industry. We are seeking for long-term candidates that will assist with building new cement plants.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing process, including troubleshooting and resolving engineering issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, structural, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless starts to projects.
  • Analyze bids for engineering, equipment, and construction proposals and provide suggestions for awarding contracts.
  • Offer guidance and support for the development of junior engineering staff.
  • Travel as needed to support project implementation and attend professional conferences.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and apply engineering principles to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required;
  • At least a few years experience within project engineering or team leadership
  • Multiple years experience in heavy industry, oil & gas, or carbon capture
  • Knowledge of CSA, ASME, NFPA, ASTM standards would be preferred.
  • Experience with power plant equipment would be preferred.
  • Mechanical software experience
  • Experience in Pipe spec or pipe stress analysis
