Our client, an emerging company in the aesthetic devices sector, is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant / Finance Manager to join their growing finance team. This role is ideal for a process-oriented accountant with experience in financial reporting and team management. You'll work closely with the Finance Director, managing financial activities across the business and contributing to key decisions that support the company's growth.

As the Senior Accountant / Finance Manager, you'll handle core accounting functions, oversee a small team, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This position offers a hands-on role within a dynamic company that designs and manufactures innovative aesthetic devices for clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports to support business decisions and compliance requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the finance function, presenting insights and recommendations to enhance workflows.
  • Intercompany Accounting: Manage intercompany transactions and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Strategic Support: Support the Finance Director with reporting and ad-hoc tasks, assisting in the development of the company's financial strategy.
  • Onsite Clinic Support: Visit clinic sites to review financial KPIs and conduct quarterly stock checks to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Asset and Team Management: Oversee fixed asset management and supervise two junior accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experienced Accountant: Strong background in accounting and financial management, preferably in retail, healthcare, or manufacturing.
  • Xero Proficiency: Skilled in using Xero for reporting, reconciliations, and balance sheet management; familiarity with Sage is a plus.
  • Process-Driven: Able to manage and improve financial processes with a consistent, structured approach.
  • Team Leader: Previous experience managing a small team, with a focus on support and development.
