With a strong focus on premium cuts, ethical sourcing, and superior customer service, we are looking for a dynamic Business Development/Sales Manager to expand our market reach and drive revenue growth.
Position Summary: The Business Development/Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing key customer relationships to drive sales. This role requires a deep understanding of the beef industry, strong sales acumen, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in wholesale, retail, and foodservice sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure profitability and long-term partnerships.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Represent the company at industry trade shows, events, and networking functions.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and production teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports on progress and forecasts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred but not required).
5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the beef, meat, or food industry.
Strong network within the beef or protein industry, including relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
Willingness to travel across the Pacific Northwest as needed.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
