Job Overview:

Our client are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join their team, focusing on driving sales and expanding their customer base within the automotive and commercial vehicle markets. In this role, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts, acquiring new business, and building strong relationships with key players in the market.

This is a customer-facing role where you will be the key contact for technical and commercial discussions, while also acting as the interface between internal teams such as engineering, product development, and manufacturing. You will provide technical advice on lithium-ion cells, modules, and packs, negotiate financial terms, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors, focusing on long-term growth and retention.
  • Customer Acquisition: Actively pursue new business opportunities in commercial vehicles, buses, and trucks.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and target new market segments.
  • Financial Negotiation: Lead financial discussions with customers, ensuring that agreements are beneficial for both parties.
  • Technical Support & Quotation Preparation: Respond to customer inquiries by providing technical guidance on lithium-ion battery systems, preparing detailed quotations, and addressing technical requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal departments such as engineering, R&D, and manufacturing, ensuring smooth communication and project alignment.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the client at trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry-specific conferences, positioning the brand as a leader in lithium-ion battery technology.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in sales, preferably in a B2B environment, with a focus on the automotive or energy storage sectors.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs. Experience in the automotive or energy storage sectors is a must.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to take initiative, work independently, and hit the ground running in a dynamic environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel across Europe for business meetings and customer visits.
  • Languages: Fluency in German and English is mandatory.

Location: Stuttgart, Germany
Travel: 3 days per week on-site near Stuttgart; regular business trips across Europe
