CSG Talent are working with an exciting cheese manufacturer who are recruiting a newly created R&D Manager position to play a key role in new product development efforts to work in line with strategic growth plans of the business.

Responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):
Lead assigned projects in the areas of ingredients testing and product-process development / improvement from concept to scale up.
- Lead assigned projects in the areas of ingredients testing and product-process development / improvement from concept to scale up.
- Lead exploring novel and alternate ingredients and technologies and in assigned areas.
- Responsible for providing product samples for cross-functional evaluation and for customers.
- Lead related applications work as well as analytical work, shelf life and sensory studies.
- Document R&D work and prepare and submit reports maintaining confidentiality.
- Lead / Participate in scale up and commercialization at remote facilities as required.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers and different functions of the business.
Requirements:
- Proven track record relating to new product development projects from conception through to commercialization within dairy product settings (essential)
- Strong understanding of dairy product formulation
- Ability to work 'hands on' whilst also possessing strong people skills for management related responsibilities
- Passionate about the dairy industry and innovation

Requirements:
- Proven track record relating to new product developments within a baked goods setting (pastry, desserts, cakes etc)
- Ability to mentor others & work as part of a high performing team
- End to end experience from ideation through to commercialization alongside knowledge of manufacturing
- Degree in Food Science / Food Engineering with a strong functional Baking Science background
- Experience in baking, pastry arts, R+D and Food / Baking Science
