Role Overview:
As the Quality Health & Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of safety and quality. You will lead efforts to maintain and improve our safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe work environment and delivering products that meet our quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee the company's quality, health, and safety (QHS) management systems in line with Australian regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the manufacturing facilities and processes to identify risks and areas for improvement.
• Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by providing training and guidance to staff on QHS standards and safe work practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product quality meets the required standards, and take proactive steps to address any quality concerns.
• Maintain and update QHS policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and adhered to across the organization.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in industry regulations and ensure compliance with all local and national health and safety laws.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and clients regarding QHS matters as needed.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience in a Quality Health & Safety management role within equipment manufacturing or the mining industry - preferably experienced in conveyor components
• Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety regulations, ISO 9001 (Quality), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage safety programs, conduct audits, and deliver training.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety risks.
• Relevant qualifications in occupational health & safety, engineering, or a related field.
