You will be integral to maintaining the highest quality standards for our products. Your role will involve overseeing the quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and leading a team of QA technicians. You will ensure that every product leaving our facility meets our stringent quality criteria, helping to uphold our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the QA team to ensure all products meet quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Oversee the implementation of HACCP plans and other food safety programs.
- Conduct training sessions on quality and safety standards for production staff.
Product Testing and Analysis:
- Perform and oversee testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Analyze test results and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities and test results.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Schedule and coordinate work assignments for QA technicians.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in the quality assurance process and implement enhancements.
- Stay updated with the latest quality assurance methodologies and industry best practices.
- Work closely with production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
Customer Feedback:
- Monitor and analyze customer complaints and feedback.
- Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Communicate quality-related information and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a QA Supervisor or similar role in a food production environment, preferably in baking.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using quality assurance software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
- You will work in a dynamic bakery production environment.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
