Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize the operations of our further processing meat facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of meat products while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage daily production schedules to meet customer demands and quality standards.
- Oversee all stages of meat processing, including cutting, grinding, marination, packaging, and labeling.
- Ensure production targets are met efficiently and on time, optimizing the use of resources.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and lead a team of production staff, including operators, technicians, and line workers.
- Conduct training sessions on operational procedures, safety, and quality standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment while addressing employee concerns and maintaining high morale.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Monitor adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, USDA, FDA) and company quality policies.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure that all equipment and processes comply with safety and sanitary regulations.
Operational Efficiency
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and oversee troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime.
Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to avoid production disruptions.
- Ensure finished products are stored and shipped in a timely and organized manner.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Prepare and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Generate and present regular reports on production metrics, including output, efficiency, and quality.
