Principal Metallurgist - Base/Battery Metals

Are you a qualified Process Engineer/Metallurgist with significant hydrometallurgical experience?

Have you recent operational experience working with battery metals such as Nickel, Graphite, Cobalt and, Lithium?

I am working with an industry leading consultancy which help their clients deal with large scale and complex metallurgical testwork, plant design and pilot plant R&D.

Due to continued growth, particularly across battery metals, they require a Principal Metallurgist to join them.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for -

• Mentoring and nurturing junior members of the team.
• Develop a clear sales strategy to market services, as well as cross-selling and up-selling.
• Provide clear project management support to clients, and be able demonstrate strong report writing skills.
• Overseeing all technical aspects of mineral processing and hydrometallurgical projects.
• Ensure the department are aware of market changes and are early adopters of new technologies.
• Commit to 30-50% global travel.

As a minimum you must have -

• >10 years operational experience.
• Managed a high-performing team.
• Worked with nickel, graphite, cobalt or lithium.
• Solvent Extraction experience, crystallization experience is a huge plus!
