CSG are partnered with a national engineering and environmental consulting firm with assist with finding multiple Principal Consultants across the firm's environmental service line. We are looking to speak with candidates with extensive experience across environmental compliance, permitting, site assessment/investigation, and remediation.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing organization and engage in diverse projects across a wide range of industries. As a Principal Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in client development, project execution, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and expand client relationships while driving business growth through the delivery of consulting services in areas such as environmental compliance, permitting, site assessment/investigation, and remediation.
  • Design and implement strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities, achieving significant revenue growth with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market dynamics to focus efforts on high-potential opportunities, spearheading proposal initiatives to win new projects.
  • Oversee and guide project execution, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of consulting services aligned with client expectations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering growth and preparing team members for greater responsibilities.
  • Manage contracts and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure the effective delivery of services throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (environmental, geological), environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental permitting, compliance, site assessment/investigation, and remediation, with substantial experience working with clients in heavy industry, commercial, mining, institutional, or municipal markets across the U.S.
  • Strong business and consulting acumen, with proven ability to identify client needs and deliver integrated solutions across various service areas.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships, supported by a deep understanding of local markets and key industry players.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing, reviewing, and refining technical reports to meet client objectives.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
