Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to lead operations at our poultry processing facility specializing in fully cooked, battered, and ready-to-eat (RTE) products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, with proven leadership in plant management, quality control, safety compliance, and team development in a fast-paced, USDA-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for daily plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and sanitation.

  • Oversee the efficient production of fully cooked, battered, and RTE poultry products, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and customer specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and other food safety and quality standards.

  • Manage plant budgets, cost control initiatives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet operational goals.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, QA, Sales, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions and customer requirements.

  • Champion safety protocols and lead training initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering accountability, communication, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a plant management role.

  • Specific experience in poultry processing and production of fully cooked, battered, or RTE products is required.

  • Strong understanding of USDA and FDA regulatory requirements, HACCP, SQF, and GMPs.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage plant operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced production environment with exposure to refrigerated areas and raw/cooked meat.

  • Requires the ability to be on the production floor for extended periods.
