Mining Solutions Manager - Open Pit

We are partnered with a global leader in mining technology solutions, offering solutions for both exploration and operations. We are partnered with them on a new position, Mining Solutions Manager, Open Pit, who will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing sales opportunities for one of their flagship open-pit mine scheduling products.

A mining engineering or geology degree is essential for this role, as well as strong experience in medium-long term planning. Commercial or client facing exposure is also an essential for this position.

This role will be based in Bryanston, Johannesburg, 3 days in the office.

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for mine planning solutions within new and existing accounts.

• Coordinating and delivering the technical aspects of our solution-selling process, including client demonstrations and customer success.

• Identifying account enrichment opportunities for mine planning solutions through customer engagements in training and implementation - cross and upselling.

• Documenting all significant support issues in the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

• Creating and presenting strategic technical demonstrations to customers with solution and value focus.

Essentials

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Mining Engineering.

• 5+ years' hands-on experience in mine design, planning & scheduling, short, medium and long term.

• Strong exposure to open-pit mining environments, with a range of commodity types.

• Based in Johannesburg & willing to travel.
