Maintenance Planner - Food Manufacturing (Multiple States Available)

We are hiring Maintenance Planners for multiple food manufacturing facilities with a leading food manufacturing company. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability, maintainability, and efficiency of plant operations while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Locations: Multiple states available - inquire for specific locations.
Salary: $85,000 annually + $7,000 relocation bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling system to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Review and organize approved work orders, ensuring all necessary safety, materials, tools, and scheduling details are included.
  • Maintain accurate asset records in the CMMS, including BOMs, PM schedules, and critical spare parts inventory.
  • Focus on top loss areas and actively participate in Daily Direction Setting meetings to drive plant reliability improvements.
  • Oversee spare parts processes and align maintenance strategies with operational goals.
  • Develop and publish weekly maintenance plans, including standard plant shutdowns.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to implement 30/90-day action plans for achieving key performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
  • Document all maintenance activities within the CMMS system.
  • Support and enhance the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to reduce unscheduled downtime.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of industrial mechanical experience or a minimum of a two-year technical degree.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and Master Data management.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to identify failure modes and implement preventive measures.
  • Leadership ability to coach maintenance teams and drive process improvements.
  • Ability to obtain HACCP certification and forklift license within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience with bakery, ovens, and packaging equipment is a plus.
