Maintenance Manager - Food Manufacturing

Location: Kennesaw, GA
Salary: $130K-$135K + 10% bonus and relocation assistance
Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Job Description:
We are seeking a Maintenance Manager for our food manufacturing facility in Kennesaw, which employs around 500 people. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the baking industry or food manufacturing, with a proven ability to lead a critical maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of 8 direct reports, including 1 supervisor, 2 leads, and other technicians, to ensure operational success within a facility of approximately 500 employees.
  • System Expertise: Demonstrate proven experience with ammonia systems, PLC, and programming.
  • PM Completion: Track and complete preventive maintenance (PM) schedules while holding the team accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Process Development: Drive the culture within the maintenance department and develop efficient processes on the floor.
  • Facility Management: Work within an older facility with minimal new equipment, providing innovative solutions and guidance in maintenance and mechanics.
  • Budget Management: Oversee one of the larger departments and manage the associated budget effectively.
  • Collaboration: Interact with leadership both within and outside of the Kennesaw plant, always keeping the big picture in mind.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure environmental and safety compliance according to accepted standards, ensuring safety programs are in place, conducting formal/documented training, and monitoring for compliance.
  • Monitor expenses and manage the budget for maintenance operations effectively.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Create capital project requests, plan and organize work for capital projects, and execute within the designated timeframe and budget.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in maintenance management within the baking or food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ammonia systems and PLC programming.
  • Ability to develop and lead a high-performing team.
