CSG Talent are looking for Maintenance Manager for the US major producer of aggregates-based construction materials including asphalt and ready-mixed concrete.
Relocation to Philadelphia area available. Please note this role is for US residents only
The Maintenance Manager oversees the day to day and long-term maintenance activities associated with preventative maintenance and repairs to all plant equipment.
- Take an active role prioritizing safety for yourself and others to ensure all assigned plants have zero accidents and are in total compliance with all policies and procedures. Investigates and determines root causes for significant accidents, environmental incidents, and property losses.
- Provide strong leadership, training, team building, and supervision to all employees at the plant in order to support the operational function of the business, provide merit increases, perform disciplinary actions, and evaluate the performance of employees in order to develop talent.
- Direct and prioritize work activities of hourly production and/or maintenance employees. Schedule production requirements to support daily, weekly, and monthly sales forecasts to meet customer and production needs.
- Acts as project manager on projects satisfying all conditions, ensuring completion on time and within budget. Oversees fabrication, erection, installation and other field work.
- Creates an environment that instills commitment, collaboration, and employee engagement, continually seeks and implements ways to improve safety performance.
- Build a strong safety culture to ensure the plant is in compliance with safety, operations, and environmental policies and procedures. Manage the health and safety of employees to continuously improve health & safety performance.
Skills You'll Need:
- Experience. Previous experience in supervising production employees preferably at either an aggregate, sand/gravel, ready mix or asphalt plant preferred.
- Leadership and Management Skills. Must be able to provide strong leadership and mentorship to employees, both direct and indirect reports, to motivate and maintain interpersonal relationships.
- Operational Knowledge. Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of rock and sand mining, ready-mix concrete, and/or asphalt operations and equipment, MSHA regulations, OSHA regulations, engineering principles and procedures, and quality control systems and processes.
- Interpersonal Skills. Must be an excellent motivator and team builder. Must be able to form strong social relationships and effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences.
- Financial Knowledge. Must possess knowledge and experience leading financial performance to established targets, meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Working Conditions. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Preferred knowledge of all types of equipment used in the manufacturing of cement.
- Preferred knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations associated with the mining industry.
- Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility.
- Fundamental understanding of vibration analysis.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems required, Oracle preferred.
Education and Experience
Mechanical Engineering, electrical, instrumentation or civil degree preferred or equivalent years of experience in the mining industry.
Minimum of five (5) years technical and managerial experience in cement, aggregates or mining production.
