About the Company:

Our client is a global leader in Mineral Processing with over 170 assets worldwide. This is their largest site in Australia supplying a range of industries including mining, agriculture and construction.

They are now looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team.

  • Overtime available. The rate is 1.5 times the hourly wage for the initial 2 hours, then 2 times thereafter. On Sundays, the rate is doubled throughout.
  • Permanent Full-time job.
  • Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm

Role responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance tasks and other responsibilities as directed by site management to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations at our Bathurst facility.
  • Follow business processes and industry standards to ensure all work is completed safely, including conducting risk assessments and adhering to the Start Safe, Stay Safe protocol.
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Supervisor to review and update site electrical administrative systems, including registers, drawings, and procedures.
  • Safely operate and maintain site automation systems, making minor adjustments as required.
  • Contribute to the design, installation, and commissioning of major electrical projects, which may occasionally require travel away from your home base.
  • Inspect equipment, identify opportunities for improvement, and report your findings.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician with a valid NSW Electrical License.
  • Over 2 years of extensive experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of safe work practices, including Lock Out Tag Out Try Out procedures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fault finding and problem-solving in automation, electrical systems, and processes.
  • Experience working with PLC and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong dedication to Occupational Health and Safety standards.
