Machinist / Manual machinist - Allentown, PA

7-3pm Mon-Fri, onsite

You will play a pivotal role at an established and growing international businss, focusing on pulverising and air classification equipment for fine and semi-fine grinding.

This role focuses on big capital equipment and requires experience in this area - troubleshooting, fixing the equipment, reading prints, setting up and operating machines, etc.

Responsibilitties

  • As a member of our manufacturing team, you'll be manufacturing parts
  • Set Up, operate and maintain manual machining equipment such as vertical boring mills, horizontal machining centers, radial drills, lathes, saws, etc.
  • Use measuring instruments to inspect dimensions and tolerances of parts
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues that may arise in the manufacturing process
  • Follow health and safety regulations by utilizing required equipment and protection as needed
  • Work with other members of the manufacturing team and engineering to produce high quality parts
  • Read, analyze, and follow blueprint and sketch designs to determine product specifications and tooling

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a machinist role with manual machining
  • Attend a vocational or technical school, a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Communicate and collaborate with other members of the manufacturing team on an as needed basis
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Able to stand for long periods of time
