As a Key Account Manager (KAM) with one of our valued clients in the packaging automation industry, you will drive sales growth by managing and nurturing relationships with key accounts. Your role involves building a deep, strategic partnership with key clients, ensuring exceptional customer service, and acting as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams. Your success will hinge on consultative selling, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Proposals: Develop customised, value-added sales proposals that address the unique needs of each key account.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Craft and implement tailored sales strategies aligned with overall company goals to maximise account potential.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to capitalise on opportunities and anticipate challenges.
  • Sales Forecasting: Prepare forecasts and budgets, utilising data insights for accurate sales predictions.
  • Reporting: Track and report on performance metrics, providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Customer Engagement: Regularly meet with key accounts, conduct presentations, and engage at events to understand client needs.
  • Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations that benefit both the company and the client.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, service, and engineering teams to align on strategies and deliver seamless service.
  • Networking: Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company, connect with potential clients, and stay current on market trends.

Profile Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in robotics or complex machinery
  • Strong relational and communication skills with a consultative approach to selling
  • Willingness to travel internationally for client engagement
  • Proven sales track record with a strategic approach to account management
  • Strong analytical skills in customer and market analysis
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
