Job Title: Interior Designer
Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This role will involve working on all phases of project design and management under the guidance of a project manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Client interaction is a key aspect of this position, requiring a professional presence and the ability to articulate design ideas effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to understand their needs, project goals, and overall vision.

  • Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine project concepts, materials, and finishes.

  • Make FF&E selections that align with the project's aesthetic, functionality, and budget.

  • Assist project architects and interior designers in the creation and organization of design documents.

  • Coordinate with other architectural disciplines, including lighting consultants and MEP engineers.

  • Ensure that project deadlines and schedule criteria are met.

  • Maintain high standards of drawing quality and accuracy.

  • Work closely with architects, interior designers, graphic designers/3D renderers, furniture dealers, and consulting engineers.

  • Engage with clients professionally, communicate design ideas clearly, and accept constructive feedback.

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is personable, positive, and works well in a team environment. The candidate should be comfortable presenting ideas to clients or willing to grow into this role over time.

Must-Haves:

  • Portfolio showcasing past work.

  • Strong creative talent in conceptual design.

  • Excellent space planning and design skills.

  • Resourcefulness in sourcing unique materials and finishes.

  • Strong sense of graphic design and presentation format.

  • Ability to communicate design ideas effectively and accept feedback.

  • Team-oriented mindset with sensitivity to clients' needs.

  • Fluent knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and FF&E specifications.

  • Skills in hand drawing and color rendering.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (4-year program) in Interior Design or related field.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Open to recent graduates as well as experienced candidates.

  • Must have a focus on medium to large commercial projects (approximately 10,000 SF and up).

  • Residential experience is not applicable.

  • Professional registration is not required, but corporate interiors experience is preferred.
