Senior Highway Estimator

CSG Talent are currently looking for a Highway Estimator for a leading US Construction Materials company, you will be responsible estimating for highway construction projects, demonstrating a strong ability to manage cost assessments, bid preparation, and project budgeting.

Core responsibilities:

• Develop cost estimates for highway projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure timely submission of bids.
• Conduct research on market prices, material costs, and industry trends to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
• Review project plans and specifications to understand work scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Identify risks in project estimates and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in estimating techniques.
• Ensure all laws and regulations are met.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Must have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Construction or 8 years experience within construction.
• Experience working in fluctuating weather, elevated temperatures, and loud noise levels.
• Preferred experience with New York DOT bidding process.
• Knowledge of estimating software & MS Suite.
