Head of Biology CMC, Cambridge, UK
CSG Talent are excited to be partnered with a global pharmaceutical business who are looking to bring in a brand new Head of Biology CMC, based in the UK to oversee their biopharma development programs.
You will be joining a company going through an exciting growth period as well as having the opportunity to recruit, build and drive your own new team across CMC. You will join an international team of individuals who are all working to develop innovative new medicines to drive global health and well-being.
Your responsibilities as Head of Biology CMC will include:
- Provide direction, support and oversight for all Biologic CMC activities. Ensuring successful output of the team
- Recruit, build, retain and manage a team of specialist CMC scientists
- Technical input to cell line development, process development etc
- Authoring of relevant regulatory submissions for CMC (CTAs, INDs etc)
- Identification, oversight and management of CDMOs and other partner companies
- Manage resource, performance targets and project delivery
- Data analysis and reporting of data back to senior leadership teams
- Ensure your team is working in a safe and compliant way
- Other responsibilities as needed to support successful development of new biopharma molecules.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- PhD in relevant topic
- Extensive hands-on experience developing biologics and antibody therapeutics
- Extensive experience inputting/authoring CTA and IND reports & submissions
- Excellent experience with ranges of cell lines, process development, tech transfer etc
- Prior leadership & management experience, including recruiting and managing performance of your direct reports
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to communicate with ranges of individuals from different teams and sites
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong problem solving abilities
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
