Position Overview:

The Head of Application Engineering will lead a team of engineers in developing and optimising application-specific solutions for their lithium-ion battery products. This role involves close collaboration with R&D, production, and customer support teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Manage and mentor the application engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical insight into lithium-ion battery applications, ensuring product designs meet customer requirements.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, production, and sales teams to align product development with market needs.
  • Customer Interaction: Act as the technical point of contact for customers, providing support and addressing application-related queries.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in application engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the battery manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery technologies, application engineering, and systems integration.
  • Project Management: Proven track record in managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions.
