Geospatial Specialist

CSG Talent is proud to collaborate with a global leader in the fertilizer market, and assist them in the search of a Geospatial Principal.

Role Overview: The Geospatial Lead is responsible for managing spatial analytics and supporting business systems. This position oversees the administration of ArcGIS infrastructure, develops and maintains ETL processes to integrate spatial data into various business applications, and provides a range of geospatial services tailored to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

Primary Duties:

• Drive the strategic growth and development of the company's GIS capabilities.
• Build and maintain applications that support core business processes.
• Provide expertise in managing spatial data to enhance business operations.
• Ensure the effective execution ofGIS functions by:
  • Continuously improving and implementing GIS systems.
  • Maintaining GIS systems and related equipment.
  • Collaborating closely with production and technical teams to align with business goals.
  • Coordinating with IT personnel to secure systems, protect data, and manage infrastructure requirements.
  • Engaging with GIS users to assess needs, scope new developments, monitor system performance, coordinate data acquisition, and support data custodians.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Relevant qualifications in GIS or Spatial Science.
• Strong experience with GIS software, including ArcGIS desktop and enterprise solutions.
• Solid understanding of database structures and spatial data management practices.
• Expertise in spatial analysis, data modeling, and visualization.
• Experience with FME and Geocortex is a bonus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud-based GIS tools like ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Portal is an advantage.
