We are looking for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and functionality of our dairy manufacturing facility. In this role, you will ensure that the physical infrastructure, utilities, and essential systems meet operational requirements and compliance standards. As the leader of the facilities maintenance team, you will focus on preventative maintenance, repair, and upgrades, working to provide a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for our employees and production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the facilities maintenance team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop, schedule, and implement preventive maintenance programs for facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Oversee repair and maintenance tasks for the facility's physical infrastructure, ensuring the building and systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory standards related to facility operations, conducting regular inspections and implementing improvements as needed.
- Monitor and maintain critical building systems, including utilities and environmental controls, to meet production requirements and maintain product quality.
- Manage inventory for facility maintenance supplies and parts, optimizing stock levels and tracking usage.
- Track maintenance activities and generate reports on repairs, inspections, and facility performance, analyzing data to recommend improvements or cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with production and other departments to minimize disruptions to operations and address facility issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in facilities management or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a facilities maintenance supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience training and managing a facilities maintenance team.
- In-depth understanding of safety and regulatory compliance, including OSHA and FDA standards.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or other facility management software is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, to support facility needs as required.
