Estimating Coordinator
Overview:
The Estimating Coordinator will work closely with the Estimating Team to support the review of project plans, requirements, and specifications. This role is responsible for conducting accurate quantity take-offs and effectively communicating with vendors and subcontractors throughout the bidding process for construction projects. A strong understanding of construction principles, project plan interpretation, and bid item quantification is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project plans, requirements, and specifications.
Download and organize all project documents appropriately.
Prepare precise quantity take-offs.
Engage with vendors and subcontractors via the Smartbid system for all assigned bids.
Compile vendor and subcontractor quotes for each bid.
Review and discuss quotes and estimates with the Estimating Team.
Complete assigned post-bid tasks.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- 1 -3 years of experience in estimating construction projects.
-Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
-Knowledge of construction costs and principles.
-Familiarity with horizontal and infrastructure projects is a plus.
-Experience with Agtek software is preferred.
