EHS Manager (Meat)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Manager to lead our environmental, health, and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and maintain programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigation processes, ensuring root cause analysis and the development of preventive measures.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on EHS policies and best practices to promote a safe work environment.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business processes and projects.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to EHS.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
• Manage emergency response planning and drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
• Certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in EHS management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
