What you'll get to do:

  • Ensure the plant remains operational by assessing and maintaining the efficiency of all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of automation engineering projects to meet the plant's needs in a timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manner.
  • Engage with process instrumentation and automation equipment to enhance automation efforts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems, ensuring files are up-to-date, including process instrumentation diagrams, drawings, and database management.
  • Contribute to the design of systems involving control, instrumentation, PLC 5 software, control logic, hardware, and Profibus network communication to achieve plant or project goals.
  • Ensure the optimal operation and reliability of electrical power systems and process control systems.
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing process control system upgrades and changes to enhance plant efficiency.
  • Draft process control system design packages to support plant and project objectives.
  • Provide support and consultation to plant management in automation engineering for optimizing plant operations, maintaining records, and updating technical documents and drawings created by CAD systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing plant system issues to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Offer continuous automation support to the plant for all shifts by participating in the on-call program, which includes evaluating and determining actions for automation incidents after hours and on weekends, possibly requiring on-site supervision to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of HTC electrical, instrumentation, and process control concepts for all plant projects.
  • Provide support for all plant IT needs and coordinate with the corporate IT department.



What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in other industries, with a strong skill set in programming, instrumentation, power systems, and troubleshooting control preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Access, and Project.
  • Experience with Gas Analyzers, Temperature/Pressure/Vibration/Level/Weighing Scales and Instruments, Transmitters, Variable Frequency Drives, Dosing Systems, and Control Loops.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and project management, problem-solving, creative and strategic thinking, and decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of database management for large control systems, communication networking systems, control software programming, alarm system management, and graphics development.
  • Familiarity with PLC/DCS and HMI architecture, especially A-B PLC 5 software and hardware, including control logic, RS View control, PI system, and Industar.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
