The Company

Our client is one of the largest food manufacturing organisations based in the US. They are now looking for a proven CI Manager to join one of their site.

The Role

They have a wonderful opportunity to join as continuous Improvement Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to support the delivery of Continuous Improvement Projects across the site, working in partnership with the business areas to identify, analyse and implement Continuous Improvement based on modelling and act based research using our modelling tool Llamasoft.


Key accountabilities

  • Develop and implement Lean Six Sigma frameworks across business units within including developing training material, delivering training as well as coaching and mentoring projects.
  • Coach and Mentor Practitioners throughout to successfully use appropriate Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Support value stream mapping sessions and understand current process performance and analysing the data to provide opportunities for improvement.
  • Use the right Lean Six Sigma tools to support and embed a culture of Continuous Improvement.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement workshops to engage multi-discipline teams to understand complex business problems and agree on process improvement initiatives/solutions.
  • Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity and inefficiencies within business processes and identification of better ways of working.
  • Support and assist stakeholders to take ownership of initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
  • Assist in guiding the team members to establish metrics to monitor financial savings as part of their Continuous Improvement Programs / Projects.
  • Provide support to stakeholders to develop and maintain annual current state reviews, Continuous Improvement pipeline of initiatives.


Career Experience & Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant experience in process analysis and lean six sigma process improvement.
  • 2 years illustrated change management and senior stakeholder engagement
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt and Above)
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing a Lean Six Sigma Framework within an organisation.
  • Previous experience in leading Continuous Improvement Programs and Projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with a proven track record of initiative delivery within complex and dynamic business environments.
  • Proven analysis and presentation skills including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of hands-on implementation of continuous improvement programs and change solutions.
  • Strong analytical, project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage, in the depths of system testing, and at each stage in between.

  • Ability to identify, plan and manage a set of activities to enable delivery of products within set timescales.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders, demonstrating confidence in engaging at all levels to reach an acceptable result, and escalate when required
  • Ability to gather, understand, analyse and interpret information & concepts, verbal or numerical, about people or situations, quickly.
  • Drive and energy to produce excellent results and to continually find ways of improving relationships, outputs and processes.
  • Ownership and reliability to take responsibility for activities or issues and to be accountable for their timely delivery and quality.
