Positioned to capitalize on energy investment opportunities due to the global demand for electricity and water, they pioneer future energy solutions through long-term investments.

With some projects in place, a pipeline of new ones and an ambitious growth plan, they are now opening an office in Australia.

About the Role:

The incumbent will be responsible for the overall Executive Management and Corporate affairs of the Australian business

The Country CEO will be responsible for establishing and leading the compliance of the Australia Business with relevant business plans, strategies, laws, regulations and corporate governance standards. The CEO will manage all the strategic, investment, operational and financial matters of the Business in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the road map for the implementation of the strategy formulated by the Boards of Directors of companies that belong to the Australia Business and align it with Group strategy.
  • Supervise the overall investment performance of the Australia Business.
  • Supervise the overall financial management of the Business including compliance with the relevant tax treaties and ensure that robust financial processes are established and maintained and effective financial management is delivered.
  • Recommend the strategic objectives for Business Development for Australia and propose specific business development actions and initiatives.
  • Ensure the effective organization and implementation of such business development initiatives in Australia.
  • Establish and maintain a robust compliance framework across all the investment portfolio.
  • Ensure that shareholders meeting and board affairs of the companies that are part of the Australia Business are effectively managed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Executive/Team management roles
  • Extensive experience in the power, water and renewable industry.
  • Familiarity with the Australian renewable energy sector and regulations.
  • Strong management and team leadership skills
  • Superior analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Exposure to international companies with large complexity and to multicultural environments.
  • Maintain highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity.
  • High energy with a "can do" mentality. Strongly believe in continuous benchmarking and continuous improvement.
