Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Stay informed about industry developments and best practices in business development
  • Collaborate with the internal teams to create compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, sales pipelines, and progress toward targets

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management
  • Strong understanding of the Australian logistics and road freight market, industry trends, and customer needs
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business growth and meeting sales targets
  • Proven sales achievements in industries such FMCG, Food & Beverage, Retail, Personal Care, Industrial, and 3PL sectors highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analyze data for opportunity identification
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant business tools
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required
