Title: BESS Supply Manager

Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a BESS Supply Manager to support their rapidly growing battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to manage the supply of key components and services, ensuring the success of innovative renewable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in battery technology, electrical engineering, and construction to ensure the timely and reliable provision of essential components.
- Develop and enforce quality standards to ensure all supplied BESS components meet technical, legal, and sustainability regulations.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and the highest quality in procurement processes.
- Identify and mitigate supply risks, such as delays or quality issues, while implementing contingency plans to ensure smooth project progress.
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, and business teams to develop and execute supply strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations and securing the best terms from suppliers.
- Lead negotiations, manage supplier contracts, and oversee the timely delivery of key components during various stages of BESS project execution.
- Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide critical supply-side input during all phases of BESS projects, from planning to final commissioning.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience delivering value through effective supply management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex supplier relationships.
- Technical expertise in BESS systems, focusing on the supply of key components.
- 5+ years of experience in supply management within BESS technology or the renewable energy sector, with a deep understanding of procurement and supply challenges.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in German and/or French highly desirable. Additional language skills are a plus.
