Job Title: Battery Storage Development Manager (BESS)
Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid options available)

About the Role:
Our client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, is looking for an experienced Battery Storage Development Manager to drive the development of BESS projects across Poland. In this role, you will be responsible for early-stage development and origination of new standalone battery energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for battery storage projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's renewable energy goals.
  • Lead and manage battery storage projects from initiation to completion, adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses to assess the viability and potential returns of battery storage initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, technical specifications, and requirements, ensuring cohesive project execution.
  • Identify and evaluate market trends, opportunities, and risks associated with battery storage technologies, particularly for solar and wind energy.
  • Oversee project activities across procurement, construction, commissioning, and testing phases, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, report on performance, address issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure all projects meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, developing safety protocols and quality control measures with the HSE Manager.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including renewable energy developers, utilities, regulatory bodies, and research institutions.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of battery storage technologies and emerging technologies, with a strong grasp of solar and wind energy systems and their integration with storage solutions.
  • Proven track record in project management, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving successful project outcomes.
  • Understanding of environmental and safety considerations associated with battery storage systems.
