Ben started his career in recruitment at Ellis Fairbank in 2000, having graduated with a degree in European Studies with Law and French. Quickly showing a talent for the industry, he progressed from Top New Rookie to Top Consultant, before being promoted to Manager of a successful team. In 2003, having worked a 9 month notice period, Ben left Ellis Fairbank to form Rilwood Associates with Wayne Underwood.

Following the success of Rilwood, Ben and Wayne founded six specialist recruitment firms, including BW Penman, Core Consulting, Rilwood Associates and Whiterock Executive. In 2015, these businesses all merged to form CSG: The Global Talent Experts.

Ben is an inspirational leader at CSG who always makes time for his employees. He takes a hands-on approach to the business, which includes training and coaching colleagues, being personally involved in client meetings and supporting colleagues on their assignments, handling his own personal assignments and hiring new talent for teams internally.

Alongside recruitment, Ben is a passionate entrepreneur with a hugely successful track record of growing businesses, from restaurants and bars to telecoms, fitness and real estate.
