Our client is a life sciences startup dedicated to providing genomic insights for infectious diseases.

They are is seeking a skilled individual to support their global financial planning and reporting processes, encompassing annual and long-term plans, projections, and monthly/quarterly reporting. This role requires thought leadership in process and reporting design, along with close collaboration with Business Unit finance, Operations Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting teams, among others.

Scope of the Role:

  • Provide general support for all Planning/Forecasting activities, including project planning, financial system maintenance, consolidation and analysis of submissions, and preparation of materials for Executive-level reviews.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Adaptive Insights planning tool, managing plan and forecast data transfer, system security, and user support.
  • Assist business users with system support for both Adaptive and BPC systems, resolving access issues and investigating data integrity problems.
  • Contribute to global department support, monthly and quarterly reporting, presentation preparation, and other regular or ad-hoc tasks.
  • Assist in template and report development to enhance efficiency and consistency of data inputs and outputs.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives related to financial systems and reporting, as well as ad-hoc analysis and presentations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize financial planning systems and processes within our client.

Experience Required:

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and drive change.
  • High level of commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to communicate analysis and recommendations effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP/Power BI experience is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field, along with 1-3 or more years of finance experience in a large company setting.
