Our Client is a leading player in the Data Centre sector, committed to driving innovation and sustainability.

Role Overview: As the Technical Program Director (Generation), you will spearhead self-generation projects across North America, playing a pivotal role. You will be responsible for leading and expanding a team of generation project managers, managing key relationships with generation and EPC partners, and overseeing the procurement of high-voltage (HV) and generation equipment. Additionally, you will take charge of all aspects of high-voltage projects, including scope, schedule, and budget management, while negotiating contracts with generation EPCs. Your role will involve tracking and reporting on power project statuses for all North American generation sites and driving utility portfolio-level budget and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive self-generation projects across North America.
  • Lead and expand the team of generation project managers.
  • Manage and expand relationships with key generation and EPC partners.
  • Oversee HV & generation equipment procurement alongside ADC Procurement.
  • Lead all aspects of high-voltage projects, including scope, schedule, & budget.
  • Negotiate contracts with generation EPCs.
  • Track and report on power project status for all North American generation sites.
  • Drive and own utility portfolio-level budget and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver power capacity in line with customer demands.
  • Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver power generation developments, including ADC partners, utilities, EPCs, and equipment vendors.
  • Prepare executive updates and project update presentations for senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 or more years of power generation development experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience running multiple projects simultaneously or related professional experience.
  • Knowledge of power generation industry partners and HV/MV manufacturers.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time or as needed to support projects.
